c6150 problem scanning wireless

I have a c6150 that has stopped Scanning via Wifi, I am using Snow Leapord, I can scan to memory device, and when using HP Scan Pro either from dash board on printer, or from computer, it starts to go through the scanning then I get on screen on the computer a message an unknown error accorded then on the printer screen I get  scan has been cancled, I've tried the on line scan I can get the preview to go through then when I try to scan the screen goes through the motions then it say scan complete but the scanner didn't even move. I also uninstall and reinstall the latest verison of hp software for this all in one, and no change.

Have you tried scanning using Preview or Image Capture apps?

Nothing else seems to acknowelege it CS4, Iphoto, can't find anything.  When I use system Pref and go to Printer fax and hit scan ti trys and then it says that it failed to open a session with device, then when I open HP printer Utility it shows that it is there but shows connection as unknown even though everything shows it is connected and I can still print with it, and the online website shows it connected.

To Harrylime: You seem to be bumping into 2 seperate problems. The first is that the previous HP software and application do not function on 10.6. Its expectated they will ht errors. You would want to run the HP uninstaller from your applications to clear out these uncompatible programs. Restart aftwards.

From here, all the required drivers for your scanning should be included in the operating system. If you still have errors launching from Print & Fax, then go to: Apple - About this Mac - Apple software update. See if it finds any printer downloads. If you have to install any updates, you can remove and readd the printer in Print & Fax, before trying again.

I did the removal of the old and put in the new and downloaded the new drivers that apple had , I have got it to scan in the system prefs then hitting printer fax then going to the scan part it will finely scan there, but I still get the same problem with HP scan pro it will start to scan then Error: Sorry an unkown problen has occard then all you can do is hit theo ok button and then it hangs and you have to hit the force quit.

To HarryLime: Don't worry, that part is fine. The ScanPro  application is not compatible with 10.6 so will only generate errors. You would use the Apple applications such as the Print & Fax method you've already seen. There are also Preview, and Image Capture applications.

Ok thanks as long as I can get the photos to the computer it works for me , is there going to be an update HP Scan Pro to work with 10.6?

To HarryLime: HP is releasing a new utility package for 10.6. It does contain a new scan application now called just HP Scan. It being systematically released for units, so some have access to it and others do not yet. At the moment the C6100 does not have a download for it but I imagine it will eventually. No idea on time though, so keep an eye on the HP download page for anything.
