Reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Did you try scanning with Image Capture in your Applications folder?

working again....fine.

 

Here's what I"ve done : Uninstalled  everything with a software that I have (CleanMyMac), then re-installed from the beggining with the STARTER CD (finally found it !!) 

 

It works.

That CD is probably not for 10.7.  I recommend uninstalling and just downloading and installing this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

Why ?

it works just fine!! perfect now . (Scan, print , etc....) That's what i need the machine for... why will i need to unistall again ?

 

ps: i guess that the reason the scan stop working was an atualization I did last week ... maybe a bug !
