Brand new HP Photosmart all in one that prints alignment test page o.k. and color copies accurately, but when printing from a file, the colors and muddy and the blue particularly does not print. I have cleaned heads and done all other suggested solutions - no improvement.

What version of OS X? What printer model? From where did you get the HP software?
Say "Thanks" by clicking the Kudos star in the post that helped you.
I am employed by HP

I have a similar problem with my Photosmart 8250. Working on Mac OS X 10.6.4
Originally got software that came with the printer, and i think we downloaded the latest driver off the hp website.
My colors print beautifully on the test sheet, but when i print a photo, everything is muddy, with a horrible dark cyan cast. Changing out the cartridges (only use HP ink and paper) does not help. changing the print color management options in photoshop does not help either.
Please advise!
