double sided printing

Installed snow leopard MAC OS 10.6 this evening and now my 7410 will not print double sided. The option does not appear in the print menu.

Hi elj.

 Let's make sure the option has been enabled in the printer queue.

Go to System Preferences/Print and Fax

Highlight the 7410 in the Printers box on the left

On the right side of this window, click on Options and Supplies

Click on the drivers tab

There should be a checkbox for HP Two-sided Printing Accessory (Duplexer)  make sure the checkmark is on that box.

Click OK.

Try another two sided printjob, and select Plain paper. 

If it still doesn't work.  Go back to System Preferences/Print and Fax and delete the 7410 printer queue.  And then setup a new 7410 queue by clicking on the "+" button. This ensures the Snow Leopard is using the builtin OS 10.6 drivers and not the older 10.5 drivers installed before the OS upgrade.

MBJustice, you're a hero for pointing this out.  The change in printer controls buries duplex printing under layers of obscurity.  I never would have found it without your help.

I have a Mac Book Pro with Office 2011 and a HP 7410 All in One Printer.  When I go to print from word and Excek The Print set up window only shows  "Collated"  and there is  no box for Two Sided Print (this window shows for other programs).
