horizontal lines on printed photos that i have imported into I-Photo with a CD disc

I have a photosmart 7510, CQ877A  printer and a Mac Book Pro with 10.6.8 operating system.  When I import photo's via CD into 

I-Photo from my old I-Mac with the 10.4.11 operating system and then print them through my Mac book, the photo's have horizontal lines  across them but my other I-Photo prints are perfect.  Any suggestions?  My I-Mac !0.4.11 isn't compatible with this printer and does that mean I can't import the data via CD to the compatible Mac Book?
