hp officejet 6500 e709n blank pages from certain programs like apple mail or web

MY hp officejet 6500 e709n was working just fine.  Now it will not print anything from my apple mail program or web browser

It is on a wireless net work.Other computers on the same network print just fine.

I have done the following.

 Tried all 6 "fix"steps on HP's solution page. Restart. Powerdown,shut off computer, deleted and added the printer driver.

Shut down the printer while on and re pluged the power cord in.Removed wireless and pluged in ethernet cable.

Still only get blank pages.But sounds and printer action make as if it it is going to print. But it does not.

 Ink levels are ok but not 100% full.

Prints from Stickies and IPhoto but not Calendar nor Word?

 Anyone have a solution for me?

What version of OS X?

Let's reset the printing system:

- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

GOOD LUCK to you!!  I have a similar problem and did ALL the steps on the HP Solution page for the problem then called tech support and the only thing they did was walk me through the whole page again.  By the time they were done, my color cartridges were more than half gone and I was told I had to replace the black cartridge, which I did this morning and guess what--no dice, it still doesn't print any black.  I was transferred to customer service when I asked to be given a new set of cartridges, but I could barely hear them (they were located in the Philippines). and they asked for my phone number and said they would call me right back--well, here I am nearly 24 hours later and I have yet to hear from them.  Quite frankly, I think HP support stinks.  The place where I bought the cartridge said HP has had problems with this printer from that year (2010)  I paid $169 for the printer and think it should have lasted a ittle more than 2 1/2 years.  This is a home installation and is not used over much.  I guess I expect too much from HP.

So what version of OS X do you have?

If it is 10.6 or higher: 

Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

Restart your Mac.

Reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and then next to the "Use" pulldown, select the printer model (not AirPrint). Wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Thanks for your response.  I was so upset when I replied to that forum, I didn't notice it was for a MAC.  I have a PC.

Any suggestions for that??

Sure, but same question as above - what operating system?

Also, what router is the printer attached to?

Thanks for your response, I figured it out myself.  I unplugged the printer, held the on button for 30 seconds, re-plugged it and Voile!!!  It worked.  Again, thanks.  Hope I don't have to get onto this again.
