hp officejet 7000 will not print 11x17 at 50% reduction

My new HP Officejet 7000 attached to my Mac (OS X 10.6.8) will not print an Office for Mac excel spreadsheet to 11x17 paper at 50% reduction.  It will print at 30%, 40% and 60%-100% however.  Any thoughts?
