hp photosmart d7260 will not print magenta and light magenta. Using Mac OS X

I have recently aquired the D7260 and it was working ok with a pc. Since I connected it to the mac, it won't print the magenta and light magenta. I have cleaned the heads.

Re: hp photosmart d7260 will not print magenta and light magenta. Using Mac OS X

Hi,

Please try printing a self test report from the printer:

  1. Load letter, A4, or legal unused plain white paper into the input tray.
  2. Touch the Setup icon on the display.
  3. Touch Tools .
  4. Touch Self-Test Report .
The HP Photosmart prints a Self-Test report, which might indicate the source of the printing problem.
Can you see any of the colors as presented by the sample below?
Additionally, clarify your Mac OS X version.
You may find it by clicking the Apple icon and then About This Mac.

Re: hp photosmart d7260 will not print magenta and light magenta. Using Mac OS X

Ok, thanks for clarifying.

As the drivers already provided by the OS X, please make sure to update the latest drivers:

Clickk the Apple icon, then click Software Update.

Make sure to install any available software update.

Now try printing and check for any change.

If the issue persists, please clarify the used driver and its version:

Enter System Preferences > Print & Fax.

Double click the printer queue.

Click the Printer Setup icon.

What is the listed driver version?

Enter the driver tab.

What is the listed driver name? (listed as Print Osing)
