I downloaded the updated software for Mac OS X, though "HPIO Trap Monitor" quits every time with one item left to install. Installation is listed as successful, but when I try to link my printer through the Airport Extreme it doesn't automatically choose a driver. When I try to choose one manually many printers are listed but NOT hp psc 1300 series.
Can this printer print wirelessly? Is there a glitch with the driver or software working on a Mac? My computer says installation is successful but doesn't recognize that a driver was installed.
Thanks for the help!

I was just browsing the message boards and saw this note - admittedly from a while back.
Unless they have updated the 1350 recently (I have an old one) I don't believe that this model is a wireless model. At least mine isn't. I've got other problems - but not that one! I have a macbook pro (10.5.6).

Hi,
Just wondering if you ever got your 1350 to work with the MacBook Pro. Please advise. Many thanks.

About your question re the 1350 and a MBP.
I am now at 10.6.1 and have updated the latest drivers via the Apple Software Update service. (Must admit to not having the courage yet to go to 10.6.2!)
Printing has never been a problem but scanning has. The old HP Scan Pro was incompatible with Snow Leopard with the consequence that HP Scan Pro would simply not see the scanning function. In fact it wouldn't see a lot!
However, after the supposed update I still cannot scan directly from the 1350 i.e. using the Scan button - nor can I see any obvious way to access the scan function from the installed software (perhaps I'm missing something?).
However (again) there is some good news. Using Preview and the Import from Scanner Option in the File drop down menu the HP 1350 now appears as an option (I also have a Canon printer attached which has always functioned OK) and I can scan from there. Not quite as convenient as it used to be but at least I can scan now. And as I said printing (and copying) has never been an issue.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you are having any other issue. Not that I'm a whizz kid or anything but we could at least compare settings.

Hi thanks. Running 10.6.2 so if you end up upgrading, please let me know. Thanks I think there is a new driver, but there are some workarounds that need to be done.
Regards,
