iMac running Snow Leopard - SCANNER COMMUNICATION CAN NOT BE ESTABLISHED: HP LaserJet CM1415fnw

iMac running Snow Leopard, Rev. 10.6.8. Brand new HP LaserJet CM1415fnw

Printer works, emailing and printing of documents wirelessly works; however, scanner has not ever worked.

I do have my printer working wirelessly...

I have updated to the latest s/w for Snow Leopard through Apple as of today.

I have cycled power on the iMac and the HP printer several times.

Error message on iMac when attempt to scan: SCANNER COMMUNICATION CAN NOT BE ESTABLISHED: HP LaserJet 300 colorMFP M375nw is currently unavailable. Ensure your device is powered on, check the connection, and ensure your network is functioning properly. If these conditions are correct, restart the device and try scanning again.

Re: iMac running Snow Leopard - SCANNER COMMUNICATION CAN NOT BE ESTABLISHED: HP LaserJet CM1415fnw

Hi,

According the error message it seems as the software try communicating with a different printer than the CM1415.

Please open the HP Scan 3 application, located under Applications > Hewlett-Packard.

Click HP Scan at the top menu, then click Preferences.

Make sure to select the HP Laserjet CM1415 from teh Scanners drop down menu, close his window and click the Scan button.

Can you see any cdifference?
