What version of OS X? How is the printer connected? If networked, what router?

I'm having the same problem. I have a macbook pro os 10.6.8 and the envy 110 model # D411d does not recognize it. It works fine if I use a usb cable. Need it to work wireless.

What router? Print a Wireless Network Test from the Wireless menu on the front of your printer. Is the printer connected to your network?

The router is Netgear WNDR3400. I did a Wireless Network test and the printer shows up

OK, thanks for that. Let's do the following:
1. Turn the printer off, then restart the router by pulling its power plug momentarily. After the router restarts, turn the printer back on.
2. Download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
3. Reset the printing system:
- Go to System Preferences > Print & Scan
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

I have the same issue as the original post. My Mac Pro w/ Snow Leopard 10.6.8 no longer communicates with my HP Envy 1000 D410 printer...when I try to print I get "printer not found" on the printer display.
I ran the steps you prescribe above. I'm in the final step: - Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.
However, after selecting the plus sign and Default tab - no printer shows up in the window under Printer Name. Help?!?

How is the printer connected? If networked, what router? Did you restart the router? Is the printer indeed connected to the router?

Printer is connected wireless. What I found out after consulting w/ Apple is that my Mac Pro sometimes strays off the local network and becomes connected to another local or obsolete network. Don't know how or why. Anyway, all I need to do is reconnect to the local home network and all seems good. Thanks for being there.

Here is how to make it "forget" the wrong network:
Apple menu > System Preferences > Network > Advanced.
Click on the "wrong" network and then click the '-' sign at the bottom of the list to remove it.
Click OK, then Apply.
By the way, this list is a list of your remembered networks. It searches for networks on this list in the order listed.
