Let's add the printer using WPS:.
FIrst, start the WPS process from the front panel of your printer (Setup [Scan] > Network > Start Wifi Protected Setup) Then:
open the Apple Airport Utility
select your wireless router
select Manual Setup
select Add Wireless Clients ... from the Base Station menu
Select First Attempt then press Continue.
You have to start the Apple Add Wireless Client process within two minutes of starting the printer's WPS pushbutton method. Actually, order doesn't matter ... you can start the Add Wireless Clients process on the the Apple router first then start the printer's WPS pushbutton method.
Now your printer will be connected to your router.
Finally let's reset the printing system:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add it. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.
Say "Thanks" by clicking the Kudos star in the post that helped you.
I am employed by HP

Just FYI; WPS (wifi protected setup) can and will knock everything off your network. It is NOT reccomended to follow those steps to go wireless
If it's a new router and you had the printer previously setup on wifi, try this
Delete the old print driver:
Apple menu> system preferences> Print and fax > Highlight the old C4700 and click the "-" to delete.
Then reconfigure using the setup assistant. (You must have your USB connected.)
Finder > Applications > Hewlett Packard > Device Utilties > HP Setup assistant.
This will configure the printer for wireless and the printer will see the new network name without changing it.
Changing your SSID will not resolve the issue, the problem is you changed the router and now the printer needs to be reconfigured for the new routers setup.
It will also prompt you to add the print queue, and at that point you can unplug the USB and add the Bonjour driver.

So download the software for your printer and run the installation once it completes by launching the HP installer, and that will automatically launch into the setup assistant after the software installs.

I'm thinking we might have an extra driver in your computer from the USB.
Apple menu> System preferences> Print and fax
If you see multiple drivers in there, and one says "Idle" that is your wireless.
If you only see one, delete is by highlighting it and clicking the "-" button below the printer list. Then click the "+" and add the "bonjour" driver.
