Hi epla,
as you already found out your Deskjet 3070 does not support Mac OS 10.4.7. This product starts with Mac OS 10.5.
However, you might be able to print if you manually select an alternative driver, e.g. Deskjet New Series. Go to Print & Fax and click the plus sign. Select your printer and then choose next tot Print using Search other printer or similar. There locate Deskjet New Drivers or similar (sorry, I dont have 10.4 available anymore). Then add the printer with this alternative driver (it will have limited settings).
For scanning, if you have the Deskjet in your wireless network, then you can use the WebScan option in the printers embedded web server (EWS). Open your internet browser and then insert the IP address of your printer in the URL field to open the EWS (or in Safari you can also use the Bonjour bookmark).
Hope this information is helpful.
Mandy
