I have a new MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion.  I can't scan from my HP Officejet 6500a Plus.  I get the message "HP scan cannot be opened because of a problem"  Check with the developer to make sure HP Scan works with this version of OS X.  You may need to reinstall the application.

Hi,

The HP Scan application is not compatible with Mountain Lion.

Make sure to update the latest drivers by clicking the Apple icon and then Software Update.

 

Then follow the steps below to scan using the methods currently provided for your product:
