setting print margins for deskjet 3050 j610

i'm trying to print a photo in istudio (same problem in iphoto) and i am unable to change the margins.  it is set at .06 top, .12 left and right, .57 bottom.  i've tried to change it to 0 in the page set up, and i've also set the document margins at 0, but it still prints with the hp preset margins.  how to i change the margins?

Re: setting print margins for deskjet 3050 j610

You have to set the paper size to whatever you want + boarderless.   For example, 4x6 boarderless.

Re: setting print margins for deskjet 3050 j610

When you start a print job (File > Print or Command-P) choose 4x6 boarderless as the paper size and 4x6 as the print size.  That should work.

Re: setting print margins for deskjet 3050 j610

The specific model does not support any borderless size beside Borderless B5, as you may find be the product specification below:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02105426&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en...

Changing the margins to 0 will be rejected as it is not supported by the hardware.

The minumum margins are as following:

Top: 0.06

Right & Left: 0.125

Bottom: 0.57

In order to get the image printed centerly, you should set the bottom , left and right margins as described above, and change the top margin as 0.57.

Re: setting print margins for deskjet 3050A j610

I have a problem with left margins. When I print 2 pages per page I lose about 3 characters at the left hand side of the printout. I thought reducing left hand margin would solve the problem, but I do not know how to change margin. Pl help.
