the hp envy 114 printer won't work with my imac os x 10.7.2 none of your drivers work!

I'm verry dissapointed in your Hp envy 114 printer I bort this printer along with my Imac and I've had nothing but problems with it none of you drivers make it work with my imac even tho they were sold as a pair! i went with the most exspensive printer thinking it would work best! and i've ended up with a box that wont work with my Imac! I've spent hours calling the apple helpline and the HP helpline which has cost me around £20 in calls so far and no one can fix the problem! I would be greatfull if anyone could help me solve this problem as I really need to be able to use this printer!

How are you connecting the printer?  What error messages are you getting?  Did you download and install this: support.apple.com/kb/DL907 ?

Thanks for your reply Dean yes i downloaded and installed the support.apple.com/kb/DL907 but it didn't work for me! I've been trying to connect my printer wirelessly to my mac, at first it was working then the printer got a update and since then it dosn't work my Imac can't find the printer at all! if i plugg it in to my imac with the usb i can get it to print but if i go through the connection wizard it finds the printer but when i try to set up a wirless connection with the printer i keep getting the error message 'can't find printer'

What router are you using?  I am thinking your printer may be defective, but let's keep working on it a bit.

Hmm ok i've got a D-Link, Wireless ADSL router, DSL-2640R and that may exsplain another problem i've been having for the short time the printer was working I never got a straight print it always seems to print at a angle which was a little frustrating

I think it may be your (or your ISP's) router.   Restart the router by pulling its power plug momentarily, then let's set a static IP address for the printer:

- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.
- Click 'Apply'.

Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.

After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

Ok i went onto the printer options online like you said and changed all the details and it got the scanner to work fine on my imac but ive still got no joy with printing anything. I went to change the options some more but everytime i try to access the printer online now i get "safari can't connect to server" but i still get the small HP icon in the top right of the url

Download and install this: support.apple.com/kb/DL907

Reset the printing system:

- Go to System Preferences > Print & Fax
- Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
- Select the plus sign to re-add a printer. Select the Defualt tab on the top of the window. Look for the printer, select it and wait until the "Add" button becomes available. Click it.

Hey Dean, sorry for the slow reply I was working out the country.

I reset all the printers and re-installed and that seems to have fixed the problem (whatever it was) and the printer is working as it should be now
