User name vs. email account

If HP wants to force us to use our email account for signing in, then there should be a reminder front and center at the sign-in page. This is not the type of account most of us will come to every day, so we could easily forget what is required. We would be more inclined to use whatever user name we use at other sites, which is very unlikely to be our email account.
