Ok, i solved my issues with the sound, by rolling back to Windows 8.1 (that first since Windows 10 forces full update) and installing a slightly Older driver 6.0.1.7154 that got rid of the plopping and crackling of the sound when there were intermittend sounds send to the soundcard as i was having when playing chess online. Installing an older driver (or any other driver) in Windows 10 is pointless it will always update to the newest driver available.

I am not 100% sure but I think this worked. I wanted to reply while I had this pulled up. I am olde of age and not very techy but that crackling was driving me crazy. After I traced it down to the playback on my Pavillion I updated all my drivers. It seems the crackle was intermittent too?  It seems most updates anymore are a step backwards in most cases. You used to be able to customize your playback sound through an equalizer, I was enjoying that very much,,,, gone now. Anyhoo thanks for this tip.
