Hi,

Yes, definitely reinstall the older IDT audio driver.

Hi,

Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall the IDT HD Audio Driver ( this will also reinstall the Beats Audio interface ) - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the document on the link below.

http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01868333

After the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

Thanks-

I have two drivers on my system- one IDT driver in the drivers section of the recovermy manager and another IDT driver in the HP assistant update. Which should i uninstall? I guess probably the one from the hp assistant?

HP Recommended

Sorry i meant which should i reinstall! The most recent one hasn't worked so should i go for the older one that wasn't recently downloaded by the hp assistant?
