Product: HP EliteBook 8740P
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an EliteBook 8740P with Windows 10.  When I plug in my Caliphone 3066-USB headset all is well for about two or three minutes then the microphone shuts down.  I can go into the setting and turn off the mute ,but a few minutes later it shuts down again.  This headset has a USB connector and  buttons that control the volume and one to turn on or shuts off the mic.

 

I used this same headset with an older HP Pavilion g series notebook that was upgraded to Windows 10 and had no problem.

 

please help me figure this out.
