Administration and power up password

I am having the same problem with my hp... when I power it up it asks for an administrator password or power up password... I attempted 3 times and it gave me a system disabled code 84278209

Thank u that did work.. but how do I do a factory reset without the cd... it is still asking me for my original password... I had brain surgery and forgot all my passwords so I need to restore it to the original settings...

You're welcome

If you don’t have your Recovery Media, the notebook will have shipped with a Recovery Partition which can be accessed at boot - ie shutdown the notebook, then start tapping away at f11 as soon as you power on.
