Pavilion 15 p051us
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop won't boot up, get UNMOUNTABLE BOOT DRIVE error. The diagnostic failure code is 90AB21-7JM8KG-MFPWL1-60SS03 (short DST check) and 90AB21-7JM8KG-MFPWL1-61A203 (long DST check). Anyone know what these codes mean? Not sure if hard drive has failed or needs to be reseated.

Hi,

Sadly to say: Most of the time the 24 char failure id indicates the HDD is failing and need to be replaced. Is it still under warranry ? If Yes, please call HP for a replacement.
