It's at the top left hand corner of my touch pad and it keeps coming on and freezing my computer.

It's the status light for the touchpad. When the light is on (orange) then your touchpad has been disabled. The computer is not frozen, it's just that the touchpad is off.

To turn it off/on you just double-tap the orange light.

Thank you very much !  Your help is greatly appreciated and now I know what the dimple on my touch pad does. Which also means I might have been responsible for making that little orange light come on in the 1st place. Maybe I shouldn't navigate the web in the dark. LOL. Thanks again.
