I am offline for the evening. The Blink code chart here may provide some insight:

Hello it's me again!
Well I turned it on again and checked the led blinking between. Blinks was a 3-4 second brake and the blinking was a same and with the 3-4 second brake this is what I know, please tell me that I do not loose data or like that! I checked the chart I could not find anything what could rely on it.So do you have any idea after this short diagnosis? I thank you for all your help!

I have this same problem, ie, suddenly after switching off and on again I end up with a black screen with Caps Lock and Num Lock LED's flashing continueously. Was there an answer to your problem. I have a Compaq Presario CQ61-440sa running Windows 10 now (an upgrade from Windows 7). My Booktop is about 5 years old now, maybe more, but it has been OK until now. I've tried the Hard Restart instructions but that didn't help. I hope you solved the problem with your Laptop and are still together with your partner.
