I am using ab 522tx laptop. The critical battery % for both on battery and plugged is 7%, if I set it to a lower % unforunately it comes back to 7% automatically. Is there any way to lower it to say 2%-5%?

I have the exact same problem and have tried about everything and nothing seems to work. From starting my laptop on Windows 7 professional 64bit exactly 30 minutes the laptop shut down as if there is no power doesn't matter what percentage battery and then when I restart it, it gives me the "start windown normally or safe mode" options. I have the battery setting at never shut down... The laptop shuts down when on power supply and on battery supply.

It is not high temperature, cause I have installed fan speed and al the temps are running around 35-43°C when it shuts down. I even cleaned the cpu heat fins, which were not dirty.

I have 4 Gig Ram and it's an i5 processor with 320Gig harddrive. I only have Windows and Microsoft office 2007 installed on it. I bought the laptop just like that... nothing else installed on it. I only did windows update and updated all drivers, thinking that it might solve the problem, but still no luck.

I have changed the battery as well and still no luck, exactly at 30 minutes from startup the laptop just goes dead.

What can be wrong, I am now clueless...
