Product: Pavilion G6-2239dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

I somehow set a Sign On password. I know what it is, but I don't want it to come up anymore. Can I get rid of it?

I don't know how to get to the CMOS/RTC battery (don't want to break anything). I tried installing Windows 7, but the system always says there is an error.

 

Please help!

Hi,

 

At the password screen, hit enter 3 times and you should receive a 'halt code' - post back with this code.

Yes it worked! But now I have another problem. The computer won't boot. Tries to repair, but fails. Put in recovery disc but doesn't work. Tried a new retail box version of Windows 7 and that fails as well. Help!!
