Spectre x2 Detachable 12-a001T
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

There are loads of blogs about not being able to wake the Spectre x2 from sleep, or not being able to boot the laptop at all.  Mine also hangs and feezes occasionaly and then shuts down, not being able to start up again with the power switch.

I have tried all the tricks (for example, holding down the volume control and power button) but to no avail.  After several hours the laptop can eventually be powered up again.

I think the unit is overheating.  Everytime i have the issue, the laptop is very warm.  I suspect it becomes responsive again after hours of cooling down.  I know the unit has no internal fan.  Perhaps this is an issue with the design??

Anyone else had similar issues??

So after 4 months of this problem the laptop is being returned to HP and i bought a MS Surface Book.
