@VENOMs7000
- So does my Java programming instructor for me calling him out on his B.S.
- I'm from the good ol' US of 'merica: the only country where people die from too much food.
- I'm returning a dv7t Quad Edition with an i7-2670QM, Radeon HD 7690M, 8GB RAM, Blu-ray reader, 1920x1080 HD LED screen, single 750GB, 7200RPM HDD. The base price without tax and shipping was $1152, but I get a discount through my employer, so your mileage may vary.

Talking to a apecialist online right now. They wanna offer me a free mail in service in my case. **bleep** dude, this is totally driver issue, not hardware problem. Doing this is just wasting of my time and not gonna fix the problem.
You HP have to support your product with the updated driver!! **bleep**, how can I persuade them to refund/exchange/recall this model!?

Yep same here. Just like many previous posters on here stated, they mail HP back ther laptop, HP tells them it runs fine (cause they run no 3d games to see the issue) and mail it back in the same condition. Thats what HP wants me to do, so they can check the memory and stuff. They refuse to accept our laptops run fine, its got bad hardware support and wont play games. When I said that to my case manager he told me "I purchase the wrong laptop then," (**bleep**) after purchasing their top of the line model, highest i7 CPU and highest GPU offered. You only do that for gaming. I dont want to mail them mine, why so they can tell me it runs fine when I know it doesnt, so they can do another factory reset which does nothing, while risking it to get damaged in the mail, and have other peoples grubby hands all over it. Someone in HP with a heart and a brain needs to realize we have a bad model, and to either refund us or give us an exchange which it sounds like they are all ready doing. So shame on me for praying the issue would get fixed and holding onto my HP past the 21 days. So we are being penalized cause we hoped HP would fix their drivers. Check out my previous pics on page 29 i think, look how our gpu has wrong stats, I think we were definately duped with a bad product.

I talked to one of their specialists and they are going to try and repair it. AGGHHHH! Should I just try and talk to another rep and convince them to exchange it?

Will HP update the driver for this ATI Raedon HD7690m xt graphic card?
[Wednesday, May 02, 2012 9:01 PM] -- ****** says:
Tzu-Min, I have checked all the details and see that there are no updates released recently.
[Wednesday, May 02, 2012 9:02 PM] -- ****** says:
You are right sir.
[Wednesday, May 02, 2012 9:02 PM] -- ****** says:
In this case you can either wait for next 2 to 3 week for further update or we can arrange for a service.
Then it will take another 7-9 plus 2-3 business days to process and repair? No thanks.....what a **bleep**ing good service.

Is this verification that the GPU will receive a driver update in 2-3 weeks?

They told me when I first called Feb 9th that an update would come out within a month, 3 months later NOTHING. They are so full of it. You can send it to them, but I dont think anything will come from it. They will not check games to see if they run, they will do a factory reset, run an automated test that will tell them it functions fine, even though we know games will not run propperly.

If you paid with a credit card, dispute the charge and fight for a refund or exchange. If all of us do that, the chances of it happening greatly increase. The added pressure of credit card companies will help

@Cameron6472, but what if the payment has been made to HP long time ago? darnit HP, can we sue it for fraud of updating driver? lol
How long ago? I bought mine on March 14th and got it March 30th. I would assume that you wouldn't be able to get a refund, but rather an exchange with a model that works. Credit card companies will work hard for their clients, and HP won't like the pressure from them
