Thats cool to hear Ryan, I should have my new laptop monday, I got it with the I7-3820QM cause I got my original order with the 2820, I like more cache on a proc. was worth the extra money for what all I will be using it for. I was checking out the benchmarks for the 650M on futuremark, not to shabby, just wish they had come out with the 690M already, maybe could of shoehorned that bad boy in an HP, lol. Been reading that the 660 670 and 675 are rebagged 500M series, I like the lower power requirements needed by the 650M, hopefully this laptop won't be too hot to handle.
Having kids is a good enough reason to go to the movies to see the avengers, and a better reason to be a kid at times.

I am still working with HP but I think a good resolution might come in a week for us. I'm feeling good for us right now, for those of us who were unable to switch our graphics cards out. It will take a week to hear back from HP but I'm feeling good about their customer service right now, which is a nice change, finally.
I am getting my hands on a new Dv6t in a week from a friend. I'll be benchmarking it with 3dmark 11, 3dmark vantage, pcmark vantage, and gaming fps as well as different drivers test. Hopefully it all works smoothly. On our last dv7 I was unable to complete the test as a result of the lack of driver support with the 7690.

ryan im like you, i prefer to get directly from the manufacturer too. Unfortunately, I could not find the nVidia drivers for this specific card. I even chose the option to let the system automatically detect my card but it said it couldn't locate any drivers for it. So I ended up having to use the HP drivers off the website (which I may add are pretty recent.) No problems thus far with them which is good news.

Hello gents. I'm late to the party... but i'm glad i stepped in. I am considering pulling the trigger on a dv6 with this card after watching a few performance vids on youtube.. i was impressed until I came here. I assume you all would recommend i go elsewhere? If so does anyone have any suggestions? I'm trying to keep it around $750 and love HP products (for some reason) but I'm willing to experiment with something else.

Hey, guys, just got my new exchanged dv6t an hour ago. HP shipped it out of Shanghai on the 10th and I got it today, not bad at all. Just need to get it set up properly. I won't have time to do a reformating but will delete all craps I do not need and clean it up. I'll report back after I get metro 2033 set up for some benchmarking. I didn't get the backlit keyboard, but I heard that you can replace it yourself, for some extra dolls, of course. If you dig it, get it when you're ordering the laptop is cheaper.
Right out of the box, I do not see much difference. Oh, this new dv6 now has a cover on the ethernet port, a nice touch. On the outside, everything else looks the same to me, except a little badge showing nivida GF 650m.

Egeek, just curious does your Function keys match this envy 17 keyboard. I am wondering if they envy keyboard is compatible with the dv7t.
