After my dv7-4177nr goes to sleep or hibernate, it comes back with a black frozen screen.

When my laptop goes to sleep or hibernate and I try to wake it up it only comes with a black screen. I can heard the fan but nothing else works. The only way to bring it back is with the power button and left the laptop of for a few minutes. I update the bios as recommended in the  HP tech support site but I still have the same issue.  I also follow the steps of turning on the laptop without the battery but it seems that nothing works. My laptop has windows 7.

Is it actually frozen or the backlight dosen't come on. I get this problem frequently. Its just some hard ware defects that HP can't deal with.
