Black horizontal flickering lines on screen, HP Pavilion dv5

Hi all,

Recently black lines have begun to show up on my laptop screen.  They mostly appear when the screen is moved back or forth and they aren't always there.  By that I mean I can start it up and the lines appear when I readjust the screen and then I can touch it or move it for an hour and they don't come back.  Then randomly they will appear again.  At one point it got so bad I didn't even have to move the screen and they were there, I thought it had something to do with the angle that the screen was sitting at, and in the beginning putting it at a different angle did get rid of the lines, however it progressed to the point where nothing helped.  If i tapped the screen they would go away for a bit, but would inevitably come back. 

They lines are there on the start up screen, the log in screen, when I'm in Word, or Powerpoint, or MSN chat.  They don't discriminate.  The lines even appear in the BIOS screen.  They are totally black, always black, and although everything can been seen and used behind them they make the screen flicker and so it is very hard to concentrate on work. 

I have talked to HP Tech support and I sent the computer in to them.  Whatever they did made the lines go away for a week or two but they have gradually come back and I'm worried it will get to the point where I can't use the laptop again.  I was told it could be static build-up and I was told how to remove it but should the lines be back the very next day if it was static build-up? 

Any idea what could be causing the lines?  HP Tech support told me they would take it in again, but no one can tell me what it could be.  Any ideas?

I had the same problem with my DV4t HP laptop, its under warranty but HP tech support discard my request to repair it.

I don't know what to do??? One thin line at the bottom of the LCD screen keep blinking....
