Black screen on G61-420CA.

Video is working via HDMI.  Simply will not start up.  Was fine yesterday but can not get the monitor to wake up.  Everything else seems to be functional.

When fully booted up, shine a bright flash light on the screen and see if the desk top shows _ it will be faint, but visible.
