The screen is blank after turning on my laptop. It shows start up screen + LEDs light up. It happened when I pressed fn + F6 key, which is quicklock. I tried hard-booting it by pressing the power button for few seconds. The weird thing is that it says "Resuming Windows" on powering it on.
Anyway, I removed the power adapter and then turned it on and it worked! Kept it on for 30 mins or so and then tried to plug in the power adapter but it turned the screen blank again. Laptop is not heated.

I have a similar problem with mine. The screen is fine but after 2-3 hours of usage, turns black. Or more technically, the backlight turns off almost like the screen saver is turning on.
Using an LED flashlight I can see that the information is still on the screen. Ctrl+Alt+Delete takes me to the login screen which will light up the LCD again, I click "cancel" and I get back into my desktop.
Doing this procedure again after the backlight turns off, does not work a second time.
The second time (and each time after that) I actually need to log out of my Windows user account (doing this all relatively blind accept for the flashlight) and then log back in and it will be OK for say, another hour. Then the process repeats itself.
