Blu-ray playback problems

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this...

Im trying to watch blu rays on my hp pavilion dv7-1267 cl --

and they all seem to work using hp media smart, however I recently purchased Universal Soldier ( it was 10 bucks) and when the title screen comes up, with music and everything, there are no buttons that I can see or access like ie. Play movie, languages, special features... Nothing! it just keeps playing the title sequence over and over...

I just don't get it! mouse doesn't work, keyboard doesn't work, and even the stupid little media controller doesn't work. I mean it will pause the title screen and resume it, and it will mute the volume. but there is no way to just play the movie.

Does anyone know what Im talking about? Ive had friends look at it and they're clueless too so I dont feel to bad. If anyone out there can shed light, I would appreciate it.

The issue i have is that i tried to down load  up date  like movie asked  and the the up dates the screen be fine during the pre view and than go completely green during movie and the sound is perfect. NO help from HP support..
