Blue ray disc issue on 584037

Blue ray discs not recognized on my Pavilion dv6. Any suggestions to t/s?

Not much info to go on here, but try this general fix.

 

 Save this file of Power DVD10 to the desk top (or where ever you like) and run it from there, not from a temporary folder.

 

 ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp56501-57000/sp56904.exe (if it won't install, post again and I will tell you how to unpack the files to perform a manual install.

 

 After it installs RESTART THE LAPTOP.

 

 Load the Blu-ray by pressing the release button on the DVD/CD/Blu-ray drive drawer and let the movie load automatically WITH OUT opening Power DVD10.

 

 Also, make sure that you actually have a Blu-ray reader _ 99.9% of the time there will be a Blu-ray logo on the front of the drawer and there will be two lenses clearly visible when the drawer is open, one for DVD/CD and a bluish one to read Blu-ray's

 

 Another thing is to try cleaning the lens.
