I downloaded latest ATI drivers - nothing changed.
Found Preview 3 drivers. HP Support Assistand now looks OK and everything's alright with video files.
But Photoshop stopped using OpenGL again, some software doesn't even launch giving me the error that "AMD driver has stopped working and recovered" and games are still unplayable.
So, is my only option now to wait for the stable release?

Yes. You can still keep trying versions of older drivers until you find one that comes closest to what you find acceptable. There are loads of drivers at the AMD/ATI archives.
