  • HP 2000-239wm
  • Windows 7 64bit
  • installed logmein remote access prior to loss of brightness adjustment
  • unable to adjust brightness either via hot keys or control panel/display

uninstalled logmein. 

uninstalled logmein mirror driver.

still not able to adjust brightness. tried adjusting with/out ac power.

got it fixed. restored the computer to a previous point.

I have installed numorous updates and dont want to do a system restore and to be frank i don't know which date to do. When ran HP support assistant utility it showed to install on screen display. after installing it, when the brightness key is pressed it shows the white icon on screen. it shows minimum while the brightness is at its max. it hurts my eyes. now what to do.
