I first want to say I have had 2 HP laptops in the past, and purchase a new laptop every 2 years, and this one (HP Pavilion dv9000) has non stop gien me problems. From having to change keyboards, to continued video problems. no help from HP, which will result in me never purchasing another HP again.
So let's get to the newest problem.......
I have this gray spot right in the middle (not exactly middle) of the monitor. It stays there no matter what you do, and has been there for about a week. I first thought it was just dust but after a good cleaning, found out it is in the monitor. The spot mind you is quite small, but quite annoying as I am kinda finiky about my computers and monitors being nice and clean.
I sent a email to HP but sure I will get the same India reponse as I have in the past, so figure I would ask you folks, if there was anything I can do, short of changing monitor? Will it get worse? What is the cost of monitor? I have had this computer a bit over a year, so still have a good 8 months before I decide to change for a new one.
Kind of a shame, my previous HP still runs at our business, never a problem to this day. This one, a total peice of junk! It's a shame HP is too big to care that they sold us a "lemon" and will use as future customers.
Next question, what do you guys recommend for new laptop when it comes time? Dell, Sony, Panasonic?
