DV7-3065DX won't output Blu Ray to my HDTV [ Edited ]

I hooked up my DV7 to my HDTV in hopes of enjoying my first Blu Ray movie and when I plugged it in via HDMI and hit play..the movie (Star Trek) started to show on the TV for maybe 5 seconds, them boom...message popped up via the HP MEdia Smart DVD software saying content was protected and you can't play this on the current display device...or something along those line.

Whya the heck !?

So what did I do wrong?  I updated the HP software like it asked but that didn't help.

What do I need to do to be able to watch Blu movies via HDMI on my HDTV?

I did a live chat with Muhamad from HP and after 3 minutes of getting nowhere, his answer was to rip the movie to my HD and playing the movie that way..his statement was "oh yes that will work for sure"....

For the record I do have a program that can backup Blu and I tried putting it on the hard drive but you guessed it, it didn't work.

Content protection error is normal,

you can only view on one screen at a time. Use ALt - F$ to toggle between screens.

Same problem with my DV7T with windows 7 except I also get this message after I go to the "projector only" setting:

MediaSmart DVD cannot play back the inserted disc. Ensure the disc drive you are currently using supports the playback of protected AVCREC content.

I am experiencing a variation of your problem with my dv7-4061nr.  The very first time I used it, I hooked it up to my new Optoma HD180 projector and it worked without a hitch... it was amazing.  The next day I go to use it and I got this stupid content message and tried various ways to get it to work, and nothing, then suddenly after a few hours it worked once again without explanation... for 2 whole days when I put it under the extend option with no problems, I thought all was well... well... . Then suddenly this afternoon right in the middle of a movie the message popped up again and I can't get it to work again no matter what I do.  Isn't there a way to bypass this stupid feature.  C'mon hackers out there give me a simple solution...
