ENVY 15 15-1066nr 4830 ATI drivers are outdated

Hi HP

why are the drivers for my laptop envy 15 15-1066nr OUTDATED! it is your responsibility to ensure that support updates drivers to ensure modern softwares are running to their maximum effitiency. I bought this laptop so that I could enjoy the hardware promissed by HP however your poor driver support upsets customers!

please fix the following issues!

a. the bios is too old! it does not allow one to manually diable intel i7 stepping technology! needed because if u upgrade windows! the process does not boost beyong 933MHz! and the Windows experience index reports 4.7 on CPU with a i7 720qm! this is rediculous! benchmarking scores are so low that NETBOOKS run faster and the loding speeds take forever!

b. the ati 4830 drivers are OLD it cannot run modern games. If we update to the ones provided by ati the system crashes with a blue screen occurs!

c. when we reinstall a freash copy of windows the system crashes to a blue screen on windows update! and the turbo mode is automitacilly once again disabled! the windows experience ratings for the processor drops to 4.7! if we use the back up recovery it gives a rating of 7! clearly there is a flaw in somewhere! either you are hiding support driversthat should have been distributed otherwise or the graphic card is conflicting!

d. with the recovery isntallation there there is an exclamation mark on turbo boost drivers! this is inherent! this needs to be resolved!

thanks

Re: ENVY 15 15-1066nr 4830 ATI drivers are outdated

In the last couple of years I have been searching for a way to update the graphic driver for the ATI Radeon Mobility 4830HD without any luck (always ending up with BSOD). I've spent countless hours on this, because you seem to be oblivious to the needs of your customers.

As xvlvx says this needs to be fixed.

This is not acceptable. It's apparently a lot to ask from you, but we need a new unrestricted driver in order to get the experience we paid for.
