Envy13 screen blacks out whenever charging [ Edited ]

Hi everyone! I'm not very good with these tech stuff so please bear with me. I'll try my best to explain the situation.

I've been encountering problems with my Envy 13 lately whenever I'm plugged in / charging.  It would start up normally right up to the part where i have to put in my password.  After that, the whole screen goes black but I can hear the sound it normally makes when starting up. When I touch the keyboard though, there's no sound. Sometimes, a blinking dash/underline appears on the upper left side of the screen, but most of the time it's just black. I doubt it has anything to do with the brightness settings because I already restored my power plan to its default just to be sure.

I've also tried starting up my laptop unplugged and then plugging in the charger when I'm already at the desktop, but the screen still blacks out after a few seconds. The difference though is that I can hear a sound whenever I press the space bar. I think it's like an error sound.

This is what I do now: I start up my laptop unplugged, put it to sleep/hibernate mode, plug in the charger, start up my laptop again, and then it runs perfectly! The screen doesn't turn to black and the charger works.

Do you guys have any idea what's causing this? I hope you can help me. Thank you so much in advance.

Please identify your Envy13 with the complete product name/number.

Remove the battery and look at the labelling that says p/n and also where it says product name.

Post that information here.

There should be a Product name for your notebook on the labeling inside where the battery is.

My loaner  Envy17 is an Envy17-3002ea. 

I need accuracy to ensure we are talking about the same notebook. So far I have found that your notebook is possibly an Envy13-1002tx. I need for you to verify that for me. The HP Support Assistant should also give that information at the bottom of the Window when it is opened.

So far I have not seen any QFE's nor  BIOS updates with enhancements that are specific to resolving the issue that you describe.

I will have to wait until you verify the product name to do any further research on your issue.

If you remove the battery and just run it plugged in, do you see the same problem?

Hi. Same thing happened. Screen went black a minute after I reached the desktop.

Have you tried connecting an external display to see if the issue is replicated there?
