Yes it does .. at certain angles, it stops altogether.

 

Do you think it's a loose connection then ??

then it could be the ribbon cable connector that connects to your LCD screen...

Thanks for all your help and sorry for the delay - I've been away so I couldn't do much about it till now.

 

Using that PDF, I took the machine apart and using the guide on p158 I disconnected the display inverter. I blew into all the connections, hoping that it might just be a dodgy connection, but the problem's still there.

 

The question now is, do I just order a new inverter (at nearly £100) or do I take it somewhere to be repaired?

 

Any advice would be welcome at this point !

Back to square one .. I've changed the inverter and it's still doing it .. any more ideas anyone ??
