My font size keeps changing while I'm doing things. I want to just set it. I know I'm holding something down I should be but it is really aggravating. I have a Folio 13. Also on the far right is the scroll bar and underthat is another scroll and if i tough that I loose the screen unless it hit it again so if I accidently scroll down too far I hit this other button. Can that be moved.

Hey paulas18, it's possible that you are accidentally performing a "pinch zoom" maneuver on the touchpad causing things to zoom in/out. To configure this behaivour (or even disable it if you don't want to use it), open the Control Panel (you can find it in the Start menu) and navigate to the Mouse configuration section. When you get into Mouse Properties, you should see a tab called "Device Settings" or something like that. In that tab, you can configure the various gestures that can be performed on the touchpad -- including zoom. Experiment with those settings and see if you find something you like.
Another possibility is that you are scrolling while holding the Ctrl key -- this will also cause things to zoom in/out.
In either case, pressing Ctrl + 0 at the same time resets the font size to default zoom in many programs, you could try that to reset the zoom level.

there was another part to my question which wasn't answered. it's the thing at end of scoll of right side which if touched makes screen go to desktop. I think I'm scrolling and the next thing I know I've hit that desktop thing next to time and date.

Ah, I think you are talking about the small transparent button right beside the clock in the taskbar, is that correct? It's not actually part of the scroll bar -- if you minimize your windows or move them around the screen, you'll see that it it still there and part of the taskbar.

That said, there is no way to remove that "show desktop" button in Windows 7. However, you can move the taskbar around the screen (right click on it, uncheck "lock the taskbar", then drag the bar to the other sides of the screen) so that perhaps it isn't in your way.
You can, however, disable the automatic show desktop feature ("peek") by right-clicking on that small button to next to the clock, and unchecking "peek at desktop". If you click on it, it will still minimize though.
The best way to avoid accidentally minimizing like this is to use 2 finger scroll on the touchpad (slide 2 fingers up/down on the touchpad to scroll) or by using a mouse with a scroll wheel -- not clicking on the small arrow.

Hi, I think Muka is onto the issue,
i've seen a similar but slightly different issue with the CTRL key. The below steps have helped to resolve it (A future driver update may also help, but I'd like you to try these steps first)
1.) Disable “Pinch Zone” action in Synaptics SW. To do that, follow the below steps
a. Click Start.
b. Type Mouse, and click on Mouse from the list
c. Click on Clickpad Settings tab.
d. Click on Clickpad Settings button.
e. Uncheck PINCH ZOOM.
f. Click on Apply button.
g. Click on OK button.
2.) Uninstall Keyboard Driver. Follow the steps below
a. Click Start
b. Right click on Computer
c. Click Manage
d. Click on Device Manager
e. Click on Keyboards
f. Right click on Standard PS/2 Keyboard
g. Click on Uninstall
h. Click OK button
i. Click Yes button
j. Restart system
Please let us know if this does resolve the issue. If not, there are some alternative steps.
