G56 Webcam not recognized

I am not able to enable the webcam on my HP G56.  Have tried the troubleshooting on the HP website to no resolution.  Any advice would be appreciated.

Could you please post complete product/model number of your Notebook?

Webcam does not show in device manager and alwo will not discover

As per specs of your laptop which can be found here, your notebook doesnt come with an integrated webcam. 

In Device manager , you will not be able to see the category -Imaging Devices which means it does not have a webacm



Again IF your LCD screen bezel looks like anything like this shown in picture below, then only option for you is to buy an external webcam.

My above post applies to your model as well. Your Notebook doesnt have an integrated webcam and this can be checked in specs over here

I am very curious as to what exactly is the photo you have then. My laptop has that exact "Webcam" and im not sure i understand what it is there for if it doesnt work?

Most of G56 models (standard configuration) does not come with a webcam but if customized  does provide an option to add webcam.

The bezel area of models which does not come with a webcam looks like one shown in picture above. For more info, refer below link
