HD 7690M XT - What is wrong with it?

Hey FOlks.......

All my problems are resolved or so it seems......

I just installed the latest 12.3 drivers from ati's website & everything works like charm........

SO here the final deal:-

1. Update BIOS to F16 (or latest version from hp website)
2. Update catalyst drivers to 12.3
3. Most important - DIsable "PowerPlay" feature under catalyst, if that remains on, still the games will crash..!!!!!

Test & let me know if it works for you !!!

Hello, 

I've tried searching for the Bios update version F16.  but, it doesn't appear to be on the download list. I'm a bit weary about downloading bios updates escpecially ones that I'm unsure of and from a thirdparty site.-- But, do you still have the download files/link. I would be willing to give this a try.

Hi Resoxin, 

I got the bios update from my laptop's S/W update page on HP website.

I do not have the link now, but you can search for your laptop's support page by typing in your serial number/ product 

number on hp support webpage.
