I need some help, I just updated my my DV6609wm to Vista Ultimate and I downloaded all of the correct drivers and had it working perfect. Well I did the Bios Flash and now it will not boot up at all.The lights light up and stays on for about 6 seconds and restarts the same proccess untill I hold the power button down to shut it off. What do I have to do to fix this problem? I tried holding down F10 and powering it up but I get the long beep then 2 short beeps. I know its a bad Bios Flash but what do I have to do to fix this problem
Thanks in advance
Jimmy

You have a faulty GPU, see here
If you are out of warranty, try to reflow the motherboard, if you can not ask somebody that have experience to do it.
Updating BIOS is not recommended for the notebook that alreade have GPU failure symptom.

I got it fixed. It was not a bad mother board, I downloaded a phoenix bios dos utility tool and and unziped the new bios flash and put the .wph file with the bios reset boot disj on a ziupdrive did the following items and it works 100% perfect.
My HP was stript ready to ship: no HD - also no battery
Held Win+B key
plug in AC adaptor
Powered on, it did some beeping
then I saw the light access of my flash drive, when the light stop I released win+b, it did some beeping then the cpu fan quick in (I knew then I was in good shape because it's the sound it make when the bios is flashing) then it stop and more beeping for 30 secs then it powered itself off .. done!
rebooted and I saw my bios.. felt good..
Hope you guys keep this files handy who knows..
Hope this help out someone else

I'm glad you get it fixed, what you have done is called as Phoenix BIOS Emergency Recovery.
However, the main problem remain, GPU issue.
