If its blinking 3 times, that means an error in the memory modules try suing one module only if you have two ram modules if you give me the number of times it blinks i can tell you the exact problem

Hi! My HP DV4 (1155se) is now experiencing a similar problem: when I turn it on, the lights come on, but the computer will not start up; after a few seconds, I see one blinking light. As best I can tell from the error codes, the one blinking light means a problem with the CPU?
We bought this computer on 12/24/08, and I'm sure the warranty has expired. It has been having trouble with starting up for a few weeks now; usually, a hard reset would get it going again. Last week, however, I foolishly tried dusting it with one of those duster sprays; the laptop was turned off at the time, but I wonder if it might have still been a bit warm. Since then, the computer has not booted up, and the screen is black. I tried connecting it to an external monitor, but nothing happened. I had started to wonder if my foolish "dusting" had done something to the graphics card? It should be noted that we attached the HP DV4 to a Compaq Presario running windows 98; however, we were successfully able to get the display to show on our older HP pavilion, whichs runs XP. Prior to this startup trouble (began in February; at first I wondered if it was related to an update), the laptop had been fine, aside from a strange, small crack in the screen. Usually, I put it into sleep when I was done working; it did not do well coming back from hibernation.
Anyway, the computer has not started up since the dusting incident: in the past, several attempts to start it would usually succeed in getting it to run startup repair. Everything would work fine for a day or so; then, right on cue, it would fail to start again.
I THINK I have my pictures and documents backed up, but I would love to get this laptop working, albeit briefly, just to be sure that I've got everything covered. Any help would be much appreciated!
