Man you don't even realize how much trouble I've gone thru to try to fix this issue. I've tried getting updated drivers from HP support to no avail. Heck, my machine wouldn't even activate my Radeon 7470m outta the box. After upgrading to Windows 7 Enterprise x64, I finally found a version of the intel hd and AMD driver together from a forum somewhere. Finally my machine would at least activate the card.....I know because the screen flickered on and off while changing over....but when I thought it was fixed, I opened up Firefox and had your same issue, large black and white blocky images everywhere. Then my AMD driver apparently failed and recovered everytime. Obviously this is a serious driver issue witht the AMD card. Only solution is to wait for HP to release their stupid proprietary oem drivers and to NEVER buy anything HP again. They never update drivers or have any concern whatsoever about these type of problems. Go to google an type HP dv6t graphics, you'll find many many forums on this issue and no one can figure it out.
