HP Pavilion g6-1251se, windows 7 64-bit, updated bios but no fix for switchable graphics, Help

I recently updated my bios from the HP Support Assistant hopeing that it would fix the problem im having with the switchable graphics options. i want to be able to configure my notebook to use only my Raedon HD 6470M not the crap intel card that is the current main graphics card my laptop is using. im having problems with photoshop and other programs i use for work becuase my main graphics card is the intel. i have tried everything to fix this, putting the programs i use on high performance in the switchable graphics options doesnt do the trick, i still have resolution problems also some games i play dont recognize my Raedon card even though i have them on high performance as well. please help. this official HP post: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/Official-HP-statement-on-Switchable-Graphics... gave the sollution to the problem im having to other hp brand laptops. why not the pavilion g6 models?

ishkhan,

I'm looking at the product specs for your model and they indicate that the notebook does not have a dual GPU configuration.  Can you check your device manager for me (expand Display Adapters) and let me know what it says?

Ya.. looks like its only the Raedon GPU but when i extended the Display adapters tab in Device manager its

Intel(R) HD Graphics family

&

Raedon (TM) HD6470M

My laptop is using the Intel gpu as the main gpu, thats my problem.. ive tried everything...

There might be a BIOS update for this model notebook shortly which might address this issue. Just stay tuned.
