HP Pavillion dv 6767tx display problem..... not even the dispay of the bios loading....

Hi

 

My laptop is HP pavillion dv6767tx special edition around 4 years old .......just in the recent week when I powered on my laptop the display was pitch black without even the faintest sign of the dispay being turned on...... but the power button, capacitive touch buttons, charging indicator and the wifi indicator were all glowing with the case fan running. There was not even the dispaly of the bios loading....

 

a few days before this happened I installed ubuntu 11.10 parallel to vista, and was working in perfect harrmony with both vista and ubuntu working as it should......but dono what happened and what was affected.....

 

Specs

vista home premium 32 bit

nvidia 256MB graphics card
